DAY 1 (- / L / D)
Sandakan Airport | Orang Utan Rehabilitation Centre | Kinabatangan River
Meet and pick-up on arrival at the Sandakan Airport and transfer to Orang utan Rehabilitation Centre. Lunch enroute. After lunch, drive overland to Bilit Kinabatangan River. Arrive at Bilit around 1500hrs, check into the lodge. After short briefing by the nature guide, take an afternoon cruise (1600hrs) along the Kinabatangan River where you can observe wildlife on the boat itself. Dinner & overnight at Bilit Adventure Lodge. Overnight at Bilit Adventure Lodge. Additional charges will apply for additional night cruise and morning cruise.
DAY 2 (B / L / D)
Kinabatangan River | Ox-Bow Lakes
Wake up early in the morning to start the day with an early river cruise at about 0600hrs. After the 1 hour boat cruise, proceed back to Bilit Lodge for breakfast. Late morning, depart for a guided jungle walk through the riverine forest to Danau Bilit (Ox-Bow Lakes) for wildlife sighting. Simple picnic lunch at the lake is included (subject to weather condition). After lunch, trek back to Bilit Lodge to freshen up. Late afternoon, get ready for another afternoon river cruise to a different part of the river to see more wildlife. Dinner & overnight at Bilit Adventure Lodge. Overnight at Bilit Adventure Lodge. Additional charges will apply for additional night cruise and morning cruise.
DAY 3 (B / L / D)
Overland to Lahad Datu | Tabin Wildlife Reserve
Breakfast at lodge. Early morning, proceed to Lahad Datu overland. Upon arrival at the town, transferred to Tabin Wildlife Reserve (1330hrs). Check in and have lunch. In the afternoon, visit the active Lipad mud volcano which provides a mineral salt lick for wildlife. Then, climb the observation tower and admire the contrasting landscape of the bare mud volcano and its surrounding thick forest. After dinner, enjoy a CD/slide presentation on Tabin’s natural wonder. Followed by a night safari to look out for noctural wildlife and birds. Overnight at Tabin Wildlife Reserve
DAY 4 (B / L / D)
Tabin Wildlife Reserve
Join the early morning bird walk to discover some of Tabin’s rich collection of almost 300 bird species. After breakfast, a drive to the core area for animal’s spotting and for photo session before trekking through the lush green rainforest to visit Lipad waterfall. In the evening, a dusk drive to look out for more nocturnal wildlife & birds coming out to look for food during this time of the day. After dinner, go for a walk along the trail nearby the resort in search of sleeping wildlife.
Overnight at Tabin Wildlife Reserve
DAY 5 (B / L )
Tabin Wildlife Reserve | Lahad Datu Airport
After breakfast, you may stroll to the nearby rock pool or river side where groups of macaques and other small mammals can sometimes be been; or free at leisure until pick up for transfer to Lahad Datu Airport for departure Home.
