DAY 1 (L / D)

KUNDASANG | DAIRY FARM | WAR MEMORIAL

Upon arrival at Kota Kinabalu Airport (KKIA). Meet and Greet session with our Guide. Then, we proceed to Kundasang Highland and check in at the Resort. After enjoying your lunch, we proceed the Highland Tour by visiting Desa Dairy Farm which located at the foothill of Mt. Kinabalu, the Mesilau Plateau, Kundasang, Ranau. Desa Dairy Farm provides good education for children even adults to understand how fresh milk is being processed from raw to finish product. The best time to visit the farm is around 2:30 PM as milking session is starting at 300 PM every day. You can see all the cows are lining up waiting for milking. Frisian Cattle are reared in this farm to produce high quality fresh milk. A must-visit in Kundasang is the Kundasang War Memorial. Established in 1962, this was one of the first memorials to commemorate the brave Australian and British Prisoners of War who died in Sandakan and during the infamous death marches to Ranau during World War II. The Memorial also remembers the people of North Borneo who risked their lives to help the POWs. The Memorial is made up of four beautiful gardens - the Australian Garden, the English Garden, the Borneo Garden and the Contemplation Garden and Pool - to represent the different nationalities. With its towering pine trees and blooming roses, a walk in the gardens is reminiscent to that of a stroll in a quaint English garden. The scent of roses lingers in the air and the serene atmosphere makes the Kundasang War Memorial an ideal place to contemplate and remember the heroes of the war. Visitors can also opt to view a brief video on the history of the Sandakan Death March. After that, paid a visit to local market of Kundasang. The Kundasang market is located by the road side about 6 kms from Mt.Kinabalu Park on the way to Poring Hot Spring. The local farmers here sell all sorts product ranging from fresh vegetables to flowers, fruits and even raw honey. Then, transfers back to the Resort and in the evening enjoy your dinner. Overnight at the Resort at Kundasang.

DAY 2 (B / L / D)

KINABALU NATIONAL PARK | PORING HOT SPRING

After breakfast, we start our tour by visiting Kinabalu National Park and explore scenic and vast flora and fauna at the National Park, then visiting Poring Hot Spring, a visit to Kinabalu Park will never be perfect without swinging by Poring Hot Springs. Situated 40 kilometres (25 miles) slightly northeast from the Parks HQ, Poring is located in the lowlands - a contrast to the Parks HQ. De-stress and soak away the sores and aches of your muscles in the spring’s hot sulphuric minerals, deemed to have healing properties and very popular among the locals. Other than the natural hot spring main attraction at Poring Hot Springs, there are also other interesting areas in the park to be visited such as the butterfly farm, the Poring Orchid Conservation Centre, the tropical garden, and the Rafflesia flower site. After enjoy your lunch, transfer back to the resort, free at leisure until time for your dinner be served. Overnight at the Resort.

DAY 3 (B / L / D)

2 ISLAND HOPPINGS

After breakfast - check out, then proceed for Manukan Island for 2 Islands Hopping; Island of Tunku Abdul Rahman National Park (TARP) famous for snorkeling and beach activities. The marine park is a cluster of islands comprising Pulau Gaya, Pulau Sapi, Pulau Manukan, Pulau Mamutik and Pulau Sulug, all only 10 - 20 minute speedboat ride from the city of Kota Kinabalu. The five islands of the Marine Park are characterized by shallow waters, sumptuous coral gardens and all boast splendid white sandy beaches. The reefs lie in shallow waters with little current making it an ideal location for novice divers, however, the diverse and sometimes rare marine creatures also make it an interesting dive location for experienced divers and underwater photographers. Non-diving visitors can still have as much fun in the islands with other optional activities such as snorkeling in Pulau Sapi and Manukan and seawalking in Pulau Sapi. The Tunku Abdul Rahman Park is open daily from 8.30 am to 5:00 pm. After enjoying the Manukan Tour, transfer to Sapi Island for more enthusiastic activities plus barbecue Lunch at Sapi Island before transfer back to your Hotel at Kota Kinabalu. After Hotel check in, free activities at the afternoon until time for pick up for your Dinner. (INCLUDE ALL SNORKELING GEARS)

DAY 4 (B / L / D)

TIPS OF BORNEO

After breakfast, we start our morning bty driving overland Tanjung Simpang Mengayau / Tip of Borneo, about 40 kilometres to the northwest of Kudat town. The journey will pass through mostly coconut plantations and remote villages such as Kg Sin San, Kg Tajau, Kg Pinangsoo, Kg Loro and Kg Tiga Papan before finally arriving at Tanjung Simpang Mengayau. In general, Kudat is located some 3 hours to the north of Kota Kinabalu and this tour will take you one full day. After local lunch at local restaurant, proceed the tours to Rungus Longhouse, traditionally, the Rungus people live in longhouses built on stilts, but the shift to modern-day living has meant that the sight of such longhouses are getting more rare. In Kg. Bavanggazo near Tinangol in the Kudat district, you can still experience this fascinating communal lifestyle in a purpose-built longhouse constructed entirely of traditional materials but with added modern comforts like toilets and showers. Situated in a valley about 41 kilometres south of Kudat town and 98 kilometres or two and a half hours drive from Kota Kinabalu City, you can get a taste of real Rungus living through their food, daily rituals and music on a day trip, after that, transfer to Kota Kinabalu Hotel for rest & overnight. DAY 5 (B)

KOTA KINABALU | CITY TOUR

After breakfast, we visit Handicraft Market located along Jalan Tun Fuad Stephens, the Handicraft Market is a favored shopping haunt for locals and tourists alike. Souvenirs galore await you and rest assured there is something for everyone. Start with the cheap trinkets, which make excellent gifts for friends and family. These include key chains, beaded bracelets and necklaces and bookmarks. You will be spoils for choice with miles and miles of beautiful sarongs etc, an ideal reminder of your tropical holiday in Sabah! Be sure to check out the glistening and gorgeous pearl jewelleries and handicrafts. You can purchase loose pearls or stunning brooches, necklaces and earrings, available at almost every stall you visit in this vast market. For those with an eye for ornate wooden carvings, you have come to the right place. The market has an endless variety of carved crafts, including exotic wooden masks, picture frames and even stunning wall panels. Not be missed are the assortment of rattan baskets in all shapes and sizes. The best thing about the Handicraft Market is that you never know what piece of treasure you might unravel during your visit. Some have returned home with an authentic sompoton (a traditional wind instrument), a Murut head hunter’s blowpipe, a coconut-shaped handbag and a wooden-frog that ‘sings' when you stroke its back with a wooden stick. The most important tip when visiting the market is to bargain, bargain, and bargain! Pick up some local lingo to improve your bargaining skills and you might even walk away a steal, where your skills of bargaining paramount important to have a good price.
